FRS Recruitment are currently recruiting for a Managing Director to manage & oversee the running of a commercial laboratory. This is a full time permanent role and based in County Carlow. Overview. My client provides provide a comprehensive range of testing for the Agricultural and Environmental sectors in Ireland. Agricultural testing includes testing soil for a number of nutrients along with trace elements to ensure optimum growth for all crops. Other services include providing environmental testing on water for a range of tests including dangerous substances , organic pollutants & toxic substances. Key Responsibilities. Establish and maintain appropriate systems for measuring operations and quality. Help provide leadership and communication of the company vision and goals. Liaise with managers/staff to ensure customer satisfaction for all services provided. Develop and implement an appropriate management training program for senior managers. Lead improved business systems and processes across the business operations. Mentor staff and recommend training for growth and professional development. Plan, develop and implement agreed strategies to meet performance goals. Collaborate on sales and marketing efforts to expand analytical services offerings. Qualifications and Requirements. BSc/BA in Technical field; MSc/MBA and/or more advanced degree is a plus. 10 years of experience in management. Must have successful experience in laboratory, project and quality management systems. Solid understanding of business functions including HR, Finance, Sales & Marketing. Excellent communication (English), HR and IT skills are required. Embrace challenges with managing a commercial laboratory and consulting firm. Display a willingness to engage employees at all levels across all functions.
