Position: Materials Engineer, Carlow

This organisation is a globally renowned leading healthcare company, who focus upon developing revolutionary therapeutics that have a meaningful impact on patients' health worldwide. At their site in Carlow they produce biologics. The site is viewed as one of the most important MSD sites globally. The blockbuster cancer therapeutics developed at this site accounts for approximately ¼ of the organisation's revenue. €220 million was invested into the development of this site, and it has continued to expand since it was established in 2008. Due to this expansion, the organisation requires a Materials Engineer (new position) to join their team. The Position: As the Materials Engineer, you will primarily responsible for managing activities relating to primary packaging for the site (vials and syringes). Additionally, you will be: Liaising with vendors and above site packaging groups with regards to secondary packaging. Responsible for Supply Chain Notification technical assessments and associated qualifications. Liaising with product teams to ensure standards are upheld with regards to materials. Reviewing and approving material packs. The Person: The incoming Materials Engineer will require a 3rd level degree in Science / Engineering or a related discipline, along with an in-depth understanding of working to GMP standards. An ability to use your initiative and an ambitious mindset, combined with the technical and manufacturing understanding needed for a sterile site are key requisites for this position. Previous Materials experience and SAP knowledge are preferred. This permanent role offers an excellent remuneration package along with superb working conditions.
