I am sourcing a QC Micro Mnaager for my client, a leading global Biopharma that is heavily expanding and investing in its Irish sites. This position will be based in Carlow. We are looking for an additional lab manager who will report directly to the Associate Director of Quality to help us manage the deliverables of the growing team of technicians, analysts and specialists. The role will be responsible for people aspects, such as coaching, talent development, recruitment and performance management. Key to the role will be to provide microbiological technical expertise, trouble-shooting, training and support to the. laboratory team in the qualification and execution of method validations, environmental monitoring, water monitoring, and testing including, sterility, endotoxin and bioburden. The role will also provide microbiological support to site including process simulations, aseptic processing, laboratory test methods and microbiology method validations. Excellent knowledge of regulatory requirements will be expected. The successful lab manager will provide technical expertise, trouble-shooting, training and support to the microbiology team and the site, and in addition, will liase with analytical and technical subject matter experts from other sites as well as participate in above site technical forums. Qualifications. Minimum Education: Third level qualification (Degree) or higher preferred; ideally in Microbiology or a closely related discipline. Minimum Experience: 5 years of experience in a supervisory or managerial role in a pharmaceutical Microbiology Laboratory. Considerable experience with sterile manufacturing requirements. Considerable experience and technical troubleshooting skills.
