Automation Engineer | Ireland | Contract | Pharmaceutical. Position for an Automation Engineer to work client side on a long-term contract assignment, providing lead automation expertise, within a high-performance culture at a state-of-the-art plant. This is the ideal role for an Automation Engineer who has a strong background in DCS, PLC and BMS platforms and can assist and support in the development and implementation of the systems on site. The main duties of the Automation Engineer will be to support the development of Process Control Applications on DCS, PLC and BMS platforms whilst identifying, evaluating & implementing opportunities for continuous improvement. As ENG Bauen continue to support clients across Ireland and mainland Europe this is a fantastic opportunity for an Automation Engineer to step into a long-term contract position with a client investing heavily in improvement and upgrade projects. The position: *Automation Engineer. *Client site Ireland – Pharmaceutical Plant. *Long term contract position. * Development of Process Control Applications on DCS, PLC and BMS platforms. * Provide day to day support to Operating Areas for Automation components of the process. * Proactively resolve technical issues before they impact the business priorities. The ideal applicant for the role: *Experienced Automation Engineer with over 5 years industry experience. *Must have a background in DCS, PLC and BMS platforms. *Ability to work within a high performing team. *Delta V Experience Preferable. Core Competencies in the following - *Computer System Development Lifecycle. *DCS Systems. *PLC – Siemens TIA Portal, Siemens S7, Allen Bradley. *SCADA – Siemens WinCC, Wonderware, Allen Bradley Factorytalk. *Data Historians. *BMS Systems – Siemens Desigo. *Control System/Shopfloor Integration. *Proficiency in Microsoft Office and job-related computer applications required. *System Virtualisation.
