Working with our client, a reputable Educational Institution-Calow College, Hartley People Recruitment are looking to fill the position of Operations Director. The role will also be responsible for managing and leading a team of approximately 15 employees in the areas of Finance, Facilities, Maintenance and Grounds.  The role will require the successful candidate to work collaboratively and efficiently with a number and range of functions and departments.  The Role:  Lead and manage all financial projects for the College, ensuring ongoing continued improvements and efficiency. Responsible for the preparation of a yearly budget and ongoing monitoring of same i.e. carry out regular business reviews with the President and department manager’s / budget holders re variance analysis and cost control. Preparation of financial reports for the Governing Body, attend and participate at Management Board meetings, providing relevant financial updates on performance against financial plan. Manage and lead the College’s financial management i.e. planning, systems, controls, reporting, practices, policies and procedures. Management and responsibility for GDPR and data protection in the relevant departments in line with college practices and procedures. Manage the health and safety requirements of the College and work collaboratively with the relevant departments re same. Lead and manage the College’s COVID-19 response team. Undertake and assist with a number of projects as directed by the President. Develop initiatives and execute strategies to optimise the use of buildings and grounds for revenue generation. The Person:  The successful candidate will have a relevant Accounting / Business Degree. Minimum of ten years’ financial management experience. Knowledge of budget development, forecasting, and analysis to inform and optimise revenue generation. Proven experience in developing and implementing strategic management initiatives with Finance, Facilities, Maintenance and Grounds functions.
