Job Description. Our new state-of-the-art facility in Carlow is looking for a number of Operations Managers to support the growth and development of our new manufacturing plant. We need experience from the manufacturing sector but not just from the pharma industry. This is an exciting opportunity where you will play a key role in a dynamic, motivated, high-performing team driving continuous improvements on a business-critical project. What you will do: Bring energy, knowledge, innovation and leadership to carry out the following: Responsible for delivery of schedule milestones throughout the project duration. Partner and work cross functionally to develop and deliver on all aspects of the project through FAT, SAT, IC, OC, IQ, OQ, PPQ and commercialisation to meet schedule milestones. Driving operational and technical excellence to deliver all components of a stable process for PPQ, facility start-up and commercial supply, sponsored by a flexible, collaborative, multi-skilled teamwork environment. Design and operationalise a successful operations team that delivers right-first-time formulation and filling of biologics and vaccines. Resolve issues and escalate risks in a timely fashion to the relevant on-site stakeholders. Ensure that the operations team receive appropriate resources and programmes to develop technical and other skills, to complete their jobs whilst stimulating personal growth and development in line with role. Develop and maintain training programmes. Drive effective writing/revising/ rolling out of accurate operational procedures, training materials and maintenance procedures for various IPT systems; ensure all work is subsequently carried out in line with same. Foster a culture of continuous improvement by deploying Lean Six Sigma tools and sponsor implementation of Model Area within operations from the start. What skills you will need: In order to excel in this role, you will more than likely have: Degree qualification or equivalent; Science, Engineering, Technical. Demonstrated leadership with at least 5 years’ experience in a people management role. Experience in the manufacturing industry with aseptic manufacturing preferable. Demonstrated project experience, from capital project to continuous manufacturing operations is preferable. Proven track-record in delivering results with a strong focus on excellence in a world-class supply organisation. Knowledge of and experience in applying Six Sigma and Lean methodologies. Knowledge of regulatory/code requirements to Irish, European and International Codes, Report, standards, policy writing skills. Experience in setting clear performance standards; overcome obstacles and coaching others by imparting your skill set and expertise.
