A fantastic opportunity has arisen for a QC Microbiology Manager . This position will contribute to developing and implementing strategic planning in Ireland by providing medical insight and expert knowledge about the product or disease area. In addition, the role shall identify, develop and maintain credible relationships with healthcare professionals, providers and academic centers. Bring energy, knowledge, innovation to carry out the following: Business Owner for Microbiology Laboratory Operations. Responsible for Microbiology Team including coaching, talent development, recruitment and performance management. Ensures all routine and non-routine testing and project work to ensure processes and end products comply with corporate and regulatory requirements to facilitate product manufacture and release. Provide microbiological technical expertise, trouble-shooting, training and support to laboratory technicians. Ensure that objectives are effectively achieved, consistent with our company's requirements to ensure compliance, safety and reliable supply to our customers. Drive compliance with our company’s Global Policies, Procedures and Guidelines, regulatory requirements. Facilitate and drive effective communication within and outside of the microbiology team. Manage Microbiology lab costs and ensure financial compliance & awareness within the team. Drive continuous improvement, perform root cause analysis on system failures using standard tools and methods & oversee coordination of resources to implement suggestions/ideas of merit. What skills you will need: In order to excel in this role, you will more than likely have: Typical Minimum Education. Bachelor’s Degree or higher preferred; ideally in Microbiology or a closely related discipline. Typical Minimum Experience for this Grade/Level. A minimum of 5-7 years’ experience in a similar role. Considerable experience and critical skills in their area of expertise that add value to the business; ideally in a manufacturing, preferably GMP setting.
