Senior Site Engineer. Carlow, €60,000 - €70,000 + Package. About the client. Our client is a leading building contractor in Ireland with over 50 years in the construction business with an annual turnover of over €400m with over 400 people directly employed. Their primary activity sees them undertaking large complex projects in Residential, Commercial, Retail, Pharmaceutical , High-tech and Institutional buildings, Refurbishment and Civil engineering works. Roles and Responsibilities: • Ensure quality control requirements are met and recorded in accordance with specification. • Operate and promote a high standard of health and safety and environment compliance. • Subcontractor coordination. • Dealing with basic paperwork such as QA records, permits and daily site diaries. • Reading and interpreting drawings for layouts, materials measure etc. • Management of subcontractors/general workforce on site. • Planning works in an efficient manner to ensure programme targets are achieved. • Liaise with client’s representatives and Design Team members as appropriate. Candidate Requirements: • Degree educated or equivalent. • Previous experience working on RC, piling and groundwork packages. • Excellent IT Skills. • Minimum 2 years’ experience on construction sites, dependent on role. • Strong interpersonal skills, written and oral communication skills. • Self-motivating to deliver on safety, quality & programme. • Ability to work as part of a team. • Full driving license.
