An amazing opportunity has arisen for a Provide Automation System support and expertise to assist to manufacture quality pharmaceutical products to meet Priorities of: Compliance, Supply, Strategy and Profit Plan. Ensure that objectives are effectively achieved, consistent with our company’s requirements to ensure compliance, safety and reliable supply to our customers. What you’ll be doing: Responsible and accountable for supporting all Automation System components of the process including on-floor support of manufacturing activities. Active participation in the Tier process and proactively resolving technical issues before they impact the business priorities. Support the smooth running of the site value stream and supply by delivering a world-class Automation service. Ensure supply of high-quality product through ensuring equipment and system availability; maximize performance through continuous process improvement initiatives and other relevant project support. Ensure compliance with, implementation and maintenance updates of local Carlow specific SOP's and technical documentation e.g. Change Management, Incident Problem Management. Ensure adherence with our company’s standards. Following business processes in the execution and support of Automation systems in Carlow. Participate effectively in writing/revising/ rolling out accurate operational procedures, training materials and maintenance procedures for various Automation systems; ensure all work is carried out in line with same. Responsible for supporting a culture of Continuous Improvement by deploying our company’s Six Sigma tools within Automation on projects such as: problem solving, standardization, reducing cycle time, Lean principles within the process. Required to comply with our Global Policies, Procedures and Guidelines, regulatory requirements and execute current Good manufacturing Practices (cGMP) in the performance of day to day activities and all applicable job functions. Contingent worker can approve SDLC documents on behalf of the company. Work collaboratively to drive a safe and compliant culture in Carlow. May be required to perform other duties as assigned. Uses technical knowledge to assure the efficient operation of variety of automated processing and information technology systems. Leads in installing and placing new equipment into operations. Develops solutions for automation problems. Oversees investigations of automation anomalies to prevent recurrence. Participates in audits and training programs in the area of responsibility. Evaluates automated and information technology systems and develops strategies to optimize and ensure quality and stability of automation systems through future expansion, replacement, or upgrade. Represents the broader Automation Systems to the business as required. Site Product owner linked to central product teams, liaising on associated product lifecycle requirements. Contributing to the overall product success, both onsite and centrally. Leading major technical project initiatives. Responsible for the overall architecture application landscape at site level. Providing technical leadership for the assigned area and systems to ensure a compliant and reliable supply of product and on time project execution. Lead problem solving practices to identify and resolve technical and operational problems; able to collaborate with peers to resolve problems that cross into inter-related units. Adapting and implementing area plans and priorities to address local business challenges. Ensure the IT resilience of our manufacturing operations by maintaining our plant floor standards. Work with leadership to implement IT digital strategy. Escalation Point of Contact Out of Hours as required. Act as a business partner with relevant business areas to represent AIT. Skills and Knowledge that you’ll need: Typical Minimum Education. Bachelor’s Degree or higher preferred; ideally in a related Business, Science, Engineering or other Technical Discipline. Six Sigma qualification preferred. Typical Minimum Experience. Experience and/or a particular skill set in their area of expertise that adds value to the business; ideally in a manufacturing, preferably GMP, setting. Core Competences: Technical. Extensive technical and operational expertise in the following disciplines: Computer Systems Validation. MIS Systems. Business Systems. Manufacturing Execution Systems. Instrumentation/Automation & Control. BMS / SCADA / DCS Systems. Control System/Shopfloor Integration. Financial Systems / Inventory Management Systems / SAP. Knowledge of regulatory/code requirements to Irish, European and International Codes, Standards and Practices. Proficiency in Microsoft Office and job-related computer applications required. Report, standards, policy writing skills required. Experience in the application of Lean Six Sigma Methodology desired. Pharmaceutical and Biotechnology manufacturing process experience desirable. Extensive knowledge of equipment and process validation. Understanding of mechanical/electrical/pneumatic processes. RT Reporting and MES knowledge and experience required. Business.
